A Busy Day

Brigh enjoyed a wonderfully busy day yesterday, getting out meeting new friends here in Arvada.  We stopped by the coffee shop, our local pet store and took a short walk around the older part of town.  While we were on our walk (or in Brigh’s case, his carry), we ran into another tripawd named Toby!  Toby is a sweet yellow lab who lost a rear leg after being hit by a car.  While we were visiting with Toby, a group of younger kids stopped by and were very curious about how both dogs ended up with only three legs.  Their concern, curiousity and amazing empathy was just joyous to experience and share!!  Today we have our first checkup visit to see how the stitches are holding up and make sure that Brigh is healing properly!!

We are slowly (slowly for Brigh, but quickly for his nervous dad!) moving away from carrying the puppy everywhere and allowing him to roam and romp a little more today.  This clearly has received the seal of approval from Brigh as he is racing around the yard and house trying to sniff and explore every square inch.  All of the other dogs (Bear, Bailey, Otto and Izzy) must sense that Brigh is special as they are displaying gentle approaches and not their usual rough house selves!

Today we are sporting a colorful red sweater..easier to see a zooming puppy in the low light morning!
